Sunbury Osteopathy was established in 2019 and is a locally operated clinic offering treatment and management to individuals within Sunbury and the surrounding area.
At Sunbury Osteopathy, we use a patient-centered approach to ensure best patient outcomes.
We implement a variety of Osteopathic techniques including soft tissue, joint mobilization, manipulation and stretching and provide an individualized management plan to help you achieve your health and well being goals.
Sunbury Osteopathy also offers group classes including Mat and Clinical Pilates, Pre & Post Natal Pilates.

Dr Anica Scherer - Principal Osteopath & Business Owner
Dr Anica Scherer is a fully qualified Osteopath who graduated from RMIT University, and established Sunbury Osteopathy in 2019.
Having grown up in Sunbury, Anica enjoys working in her local community.
Anica enjoys working with individuals of all ages with a wide variety of conditions. She uses a patient-centred approach to assist her patients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.
Anica comes from a sporting background and has been involved in netball at a semi-elite level, she is also a keen recreational runner. This has provided her with a great insight into sports related injury treatment, rehabilitation and prevention. Anica also has a strong interest in women's health, particularly women who are pre and post natal having completed further studies in pregnancy and post natal care.
Anica is also a qualified Mat Pilates instructor and enjoys teaching Pilates and guiding patients through injury management.
Anica has obtained certificates in level 1 dry needling and cupping.
Dr Nicholas Wright - Osteopath
Dr Nicholas Wright is a fully qualified Osteopath who graduated from RMIT University.
Nick is a kind, fun and goal driven individual who is always striving to help others. Nick finds the human body to be an amazing construct and this has always driven his passion to study it and use those studies to help others get the best out of their health and wellbeing.
Nick also holds a degree in biomedical sciences and has previously worked as a sleep scientist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and as an anatomy and physiology demonstrator at RMIT. This has provided Nick with a strong foundational knowledge in these areas and has given him the skills to communicate complex scientific terminology in a way that is understandable to all. Nick's areas of interest include sports injuries and chronic pain.
In his off time Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, getting outdoors and partaking in activities including water and snowsports and watching the Carlton football club. Nick is a huge believer in practicing what you preach which is why he enjoys getting into the gym to keep himself physically and mentally fit!
Dr Zoe Southall - Osteopath
Dr Zoe Southall has always been passionate about healthcare and the human body. She understands and embraces that every individual is unique and bases her wholistic treatment approach around this, treating the patient rather than the condition.
Zoe places high value in empowering her patients to live their best life. Also focusing on injury prevention, she provides her patients with the tools to take their health into their own hands through education.
Zoe has a keen interest in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions ranging from Women’s Health to sporting injuries, as well as acute and chronic neck, headaches and back pain.
When not at work, you will find Zoe exploring the outdoors with her border collie, doing a pilates class or planning her next travel adventure (all tips welcome).
Dr Elea Papageorgiou - Osteopath
Dr Elea Papageorgiou is a relaxed and personable osteopath who aims to provide the best care possible, tailored specifically to each individual patients needs and goals. Whilst Elea’s osteopathic interests span wide, he enjoys managing sport-related injuries and chronic pain conditions, such as back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, headaches, and migraines. He is passionate about using a combination of hands-on treatment, patient education and targeted rehabilitation programs to achieve positive outcomes for his patients.
Elea graduated from Victoria University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and a Master’s degree in Health Science (Osteopathy). Prior to being a Sunbury-based Osteopath, Elea has spent time working in Ontario, Canada.
Elea enjoys helping patients make and maintain positive changes to their health and wellbeing.
Dr Caitlyn Alifraco - Osteopath
Dr Caitlyn Alifraco graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Health Science (Osteopathy).
Caitlyn found her passion for Osteopathy during her high school years when she received osteopathic treatment for her low back pain and many sporting injuries. She admired the holistic approach to treatment that enabled her to return to sport pain free. This has shaped the way she treats, taking a patient centred approach. Caitlyn has played netball and basketball at a semi-elite level and understands the demands that different sports may place on the body.
Caitlyn has a special interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation. She completed an internship at Mumbai’s SportsMed Clinic working with pre and post operative orthopaedic patients aiding in their rehabilitation. Caitlyn has worked with several sporting clubs as an osteopath and loves to guide and educate patients throughout the recovery. Caitlyn enjoys treating all ages and fitness levels.
Caitlyn has undergone further training in Clinical Pilates, completing her Studio & Rehab Series with Polestar Pilates Australia.
Outside of the clinic you'll find Caitlyn spending her time with her gorgeous daughter, running through the parks of Melbourne, on a netball court or spending time with family and friends.
Julie Redmond - Myotherapist
Julie is a Clinical Myotherapist with over a decade of experience. After working in Essendon and surrounding suburbs, Julie joined the team at Sunbury Osteopathy in order to work closer to home and her young family.
Julie enjoys working with clients from all walks of life, treating niggles from the office to persistent pain. She employs a patient centred approach aimed at finding the why of the complaint, how it is affecting your daily life, and what can be done to address that.
Dedicated to ongoing education as our understanding of the human body evolves, Julie has particularly undertaken extra study in areas that she enjoys treating - supporting the musculoskeletal health of women throughout pregnancy and beyond, as well as in those undergoing treatment for cancer.
In her downtime you might see Julie around Sunbury with her two young boys and her Golden Retriever; combining movement with play at a playground, traversing a walking track, or volunteering with Sunbury Toy Library
